Smith College Class of 1995
Giving

Smith often receives funding and matching grants based on the involvement of alumnae, and the way that is measured is the percentage of alumnae who donate, so it is more important that you give even $5 each year than that you give a big donation to the Alumnae Fund.

Gifts to specific funds may not count toward the Alumnae Fund, so check to see, if you are concerned about how your donations are counted, and toward what.

In addition to the Alumnae Fund, other donations or dues are invaluable in funding our class--especially for reunion--as well as your local Smith College Club. Each of those is separate and needs your separate contribution!

Every penny helps:
  • The credit card bank MBNA offers a Smith College Mastercard and contributes a small amount to the college for every dollar you charge to the card.
  • Do you shop at Amazon.com? If you use the special Smith link to get to the Amazon.com web site (it looks exactly the same), Smith benefits from whatever purchases you make there: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/sophiasweb-20

Class Dues
It's getting to be that time where we dole out some dollars for each of the past 5 years and put it all toward our 10th reunion! Send $95 to Kirsten Campbell Fraunces, our class Treasurer. All the details (and the form to fill out) are in the newsletter that you should have received this summer and is posted on this site.

Specific funds near and dear to our hearts include:
  • The Danielle Anne Drumke '95 Scholarship fund, which is currently raising funds to become an endowed scholarship. For more information see http://danielledrumke.com/contribute.html
  • Julia Mayrant Rees Simonds '95 France Internship Fund. This was established in Julia's memory a few years ago by her family. It supports student internships in Paris.

You can also donate to the Alumnae Fund in memory of any individual.
